Badar Hamood Al Rashdi trained at NHI in 2002 where he completed an NVQ Level 2 in Food Production. After graduation Badar joined the MOD ( Army) as a Chef and over the next two years he worked throughout the Sultanate at various military bases showing his skills and this was rewarded by promotion to Chef Instructor in 2005.

Badar continued his development, attending 3 English courses, Instructor course at RAFO and specialist cuisine. In 2007 Badar returned to NHI to study for his Hospitality Management Diploma and which he successfully completed in December 2009.

He enjoys time with his family on the farm, reading and keeping up to date with worldwide news. Badar would like to see progression to Officer level with the MOD and pass on his skills to the young Omanis joining the Catering industry.
